Walking past our office, I noticed that our blog was up and that someone had been reading all the way back to 2012, right before we moved from Wyoming to Washington. Intrigued, I started to read as well, finding enjoyment in the remembering but also laughing at things that I'd forgotten. I had a distinct thought, "this is why I blog."
Before bed, Tyson said something that reminded me of something that I'd read. When I told them the funny story of Tyson asking if car washes were "cold showers" for cars, we all laughed and laughed and told more and more. Again, I was struck, "no this is why I blog!"
Tyson: "You know why you saw those stories? It's because I was reading our blog earlier. Shelby and Brennon came and read with me. We found lots of funny stories."
That was my initial reason for blogging. Through the years, it's become so much more than I ever thought it would be. I wanted my kids to look back, laugh, cry, love, reminisce, and know that I cherished them with all I had. I see them as they really are. I'm living a "Classics" life. Beautiful, bruising, and bold.
My older girls now read through my blog and well. They think it's fun to read the posts from when they were babies. I barely remember those days. I'm glad I wrote it all down!!!
