Recycling
I've never thought of myself as a "tree-hugger" although I do love to do things to help the earth and to keep the community clean. So, when I was signing up for garbage and they asked if I'd like a can for recycling, I jumped at the chance. I recycled in Bar Nunn which involved me taking up garage space, then loading the entire "trunk" of my Yukon XL, driving around the block and unloading it into various marked bins. I loved it just the same. Now, I have a can. There is no sorting involved, I just throw it all in the can and they take it every other week. Heaven. The thing that strikes me as crazy is that for the last three weeks my "normal" can has only had one bag. That is how much is non-recyclable. ONE bag for a family of 7. It makes me feel so good to be helping out. So, the new term of endearment from my family, my new title if you will, is Trash Nazi. It suits me just fine!
