Little Swimmers

Tuesday, June 11, 2013
Roy Aquatic Center
Since Tuesday was going to have the least amount of extreme weather, we chose that day to go to the pool.  I was a bit worried that Brennon was going to resist like he'd done in Canada.  I was right.  I pulled him into the pool against his wishes and really ticked him off.  I had to bribe him to even put his feet in the pool.  Little by little he got a little more in the water.  It took about 20 minutes for him to even sit down.  Finally he let go and had a good time!
We made sure to get sunscreen on them before they raced to the inviting water.  Next thing we know, it was time for lunch.  Time seemed to be going so fast.  Well, after Brennon sat in the water that is!  We'd taken a cooler filled with goods and had a regular old picnic.  How fun!
These two had no fear!  They would have swam alone for the second they entered the gate.  It was fun to watch them together.  They'd pretend as if one was in distress while the other saved them.  Tyson even got his face in the water a few times to prove his terror.  It was seriously cute.  They're just as much besties as Kimberly and I or Shelby and Kennedy.  Friends in heaven that came just a day apart.  If you remember, Ty has had some temper tantrums that usually end in "You're not invited to my party!"  Well, Jonathan is the only one invited!  That's true friendship right there!!

So, not only did Brennon get in the water, look at that smile.  He's happy!!!  Cuties!!

See that gaping hole in that smile?  She lost that tooth on Sunday on our way down to see Sherry and Ryan's new home.  It was a traumatic drive.  We thought it was more loose, but ended up getting pretty bruised after hours of pulling on it.  Still such a cutie!
Remember the puffy cheek face?  There it is again.  Love it!!  And water up to his chest.  I die!
Love this smile!  And he's looking at the camera.  This was a blessed day!!

 Love that tongue!!

That's my girl in the back float!  Such a good swimmer!
We came back to the condo to eat dinner, bathe the monsters, and just relax.  Kimberly made the comment that we wouldn't have survived without the electronics we'd brought.  Caden had his iPad, Tyson had my iPhone, Kennedy had one of Kimberly's Kindle Fires, Hailey had the other.  Little pockets of fun.  Taybree was just enjoying room to run without any furniture.  Or disgruntled neighbors below!  This was the condo that Randy and Danielle fixed up.  They gutted the entire place and brought it to beauty!

As a side note...Kimberly and I got BURNED!  We made sure to put sunscreen on when we arrived, and put more on the kids after lunch, but must have forgotten about ourselves that second time.  We remembered more when we started to feel the burn, but it was WAY too late!  Kimberly was actually purple.  We've both commented that we peeled more that ever.  It was worth it to see the kids have such a good time together.  For the second day in a row!
