National Anthem

Shelby has been going to a choir camp through the Columbia Basin College this week.  The culminating event was a chance to sing the National Anthem at our local baseball team, the Dust Devils', game tonight, along with a few others songs before the game.  It was so special to see my girl singing out for all to hear.

Bent Larsen, Shelby, Russell Wilson (with the Seattle Seahwawks now, but got his start here in the Tri-Cities!), and Sydnee Larsen.

This is the first year the Mastersingers have a choir for girls in 4th-7th grade, as well as Girls' and Boy's High School age.  I am overjoyed that Shelby gets to join this choir.  It's an amazing opportunity for her, one that I know she'll shine in.

**Side note: Russell Wilson is known to visit Seattle Children's Cancer Care Floors once a week when he's in Seattle.  We never saw him.  With as much time as we spent at Seattle Children's, I'm not quite sure how that happened.  Regardless, knowing how great he is with the cancer kiddos, he'll always be kind of my favorite, even though I don't follow sports at all.
