Caden started 7th grade this year, which means...Home Ec! He is SUPER excited. They'll have a unit on washing clothes, microwaves, sewing, and baking. He came home and asked if he could back some cookies. It just so happened that he was "treat" duty for Family Home Evening, so it worked out perfect for him to choose what we had...and make it! They turned out good, but not perfect. He forgot the Brown Sugar! He was a little disappointed, saying we should separate the "sugars" in the book so you made sure you didn't overlook one. I concede that that is a good idea, but I showed how to double check each line before scooping. It's just one of those times I realize how grown up my son is!
