Clarify

I have been extremely tired. I feel as if I could sleep for days. I have barely gotten up to do anything beyond the basics. I even find myself a bit bothered by the fact that we need to actually eat three times a day. Bothered, I tell you!! And I still count my kids multiple times a day.

As I was getting my kids ready for school yesterday, I found myself emotional. And, No, it had nothing to do with sleep deprivation. Mornings are always busy. Not as busy as 3:30-7:00, but busy. As we were rushing around, gathering all of our things that sat stagnant for a week, I took a moment to just sit. I was so overcome with gratitude for my life. I miss the rush and constant fun of Florida, we did SO much, but I have so much more here at home. It is a good life!! I am happy with the life we live.

And just to clarify, we actually packed too much. And we only had two small suitcases of clothes. I purchased 7 shirts before we left, thinking that since we had a W/D in the villa, I would do laundry each night. I wanted there to be no question why we were getting special treatment, why we always got to cut in line. As it turns out, it was also an easy way, well, easier way, to keep track of five independent children. Randy was against that idea, telling me that he didn't want to always match and stand out more than our large family already does. That changed the moment we stepped into the airport. And just like that, the extra three shirts I'd packed for the kids at his insistence, were unnecessary. So, no, Make A Wish didn't give us seven shirts for seven days. We wore the exact same shirt each day, freshly laundered the night before.

I will get to my commentary, and last few days of pictures, when I feel as if I can peel myself off of the couch and make it to our real computer.

For now, life is better than Disney.
