Fairest Maiden

It's been a busy day celebrating Keilie's 14th birthday (more on her birthday tomorrow, when I get a good picture of her), so I was almost too tired to put the babies to bed.  Since cancer care, my kids have needed me to put them to bed more than ever-- I think it is their "security blanket."  I almost told them that I couldn't do it tonight, that I was just too tired.  And then Tyson whispered in my ear as he snuggled into my neck, "Goodnight, fairest maiden in all the land!," and I almost wept in gratitude for my motherly guilt that urges me do things for my kids that I wouldn't normally do.

I heard this the other day and had to laugh:

Why did the Lord bless us with five?!
Because he knew we would have been just fine with four.

Tyson is the perfect Caboose to our runaway train.  I sure love my kids!  My heart is so full.
