Cathedral of Rocks, NV

We decided we'd try the Nevada roads instead of braving the Utah roads on the 4th of July weekend.  We also decided to make the entire drive in one day.  When Ryan and Sherry heard of our plans, they told us that we HAD to stop at Cathedral of Rocks State Park.  It was about an hour into our drive, and right on the path, we'd planned to take.  We were all for it.  When we drove in and saw just how close it was to our path, we were even more excited to explore.

The next time we're doing in St. George, we plan to make this drive and spend more time here.  We had so much fun exploring.  At one point, we literally crawled through a small opening/tunnel/cave thing.  Shelby braved it, not liking tight spaces, and Randy narrowly made it.  It would be fun to take a picnic and plan a few hours of fun next time.

We also loved the drive.  We rarely saw anyone else on the road.  We did notice quite a few Washington plates, though!  Apparently we're late to that party.  We'll be taking it again when we head down.  It dumped us right back in Twin Falls, circumventing all of the I-15 travel with ease.  We made it back to our Mira the same night, and was greeted with such enthusiasm that we made the pact anew that we wouldn't leave he again!
